Prayer of Awana

Our prayer is that all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ

“Knowing is never the end; neither is loving. In fact, there is no end: The more I know Christ, the more I’ll love Him; the more I love Him, the more I’ll serve Him; the more I serve Him, the more I’ll know Him”

Five Ministry Principles

Gospel Centre

This is the first principle of Awana ministry, and embraces everything. God has been using Awana through Gospel Centre in more than 100 countries for 65 years. If Awana ministry, Awana ministers, missionaries, and fellow workers do not have the Gospel spirit, all Awana ministries become meaningless.

Scripture memorization

This is the second principle of Awana ministry, and the core. Awana clubs help clubbers memorize God’s Word, as well as to discern and apply the truth on their own and in their own lives. Clubbers memorize around 50-100 bible verses each year through each club handbook.

* Puggles aren’t able to read so parents please read the Bible for them.

Fun & Exciting

This is the third principle of Awana ministry, and our method. Awana delivers the Gospel of Jesus Christ not only through games but also through different creative and exciting ways during club activities.

Training to Serve Jesus Christ Steadily

This is the fourth principle of Awana ministry, and the goal of Awana. Awana hopes for all children and youth to know and love God. Also, we encourage the clubbers to know and love God through serving others.

Strong Leadership Development

This is the fifth principle of Awana ministry and our motivation. Awana offers many kinds of superior training courses for each club’s teachers and ministers. We believe, the more the Awana teachers and ministers grow, the more the children and youth in each club will grow.

Confession of Faith

Bible

We believe that the Bible was written through the supernatural power of God’s love. Therefore, there is no wrong message in the Bible. We believe God protects all contents of the Bible and we also believe that the Bible was written at the level for every person to understand.

Matthew 5:18; 1 Cor 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21

Trinity (the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ)

We believe that God is one in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three persons appear to have the same characters and integrity as well as deserve to be glorified equally.

Matthew 3:16-17, 28-19; John 1:1, 2, 14, 10:30, 14:15-17; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

God the Father

We believe in God, that He is the only Creator and absolute. Also, we believe that God’s creation was not, is not, and will not be evolved or emerged on its own.

John 1:3, 10; Acts 17:24-25; Genesis 1:1

Jesus the Son

We believe that for God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son to this world to save sinners.

John 3:16; 1 Timothy 1:5; 1 John 4:14

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He came to this Earth in human form as well as fully became truly human. Jesus was conceived in the womb of his mother Mary through the Holy Spirit, without the agency of a human father, and born while Mary was yet a virgin. Jesus did not sin. Jesus worked miracles and showed the power of God through the four gospels. Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross and died for our sins. Through crucifixion, He paid our penalty and after 3 days Jesus Christ was resurrected. After 40 days, Jesus Christ was sent at the right hand of God and became the head of Church and the mediator between God and believers. We believe Jesus Christ will one day return, in human form, to restore the Kingdom of God on this earth.

Acts 7:14, 9:6; Hebrews 1:1-2, 7:25; Luke 1:30-35; Ephesians 4:8; John 1:1-5, 10-14, 14:3; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:3,11; Revelation 20:4

God the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit possesses whole personality and is God. It reveals our sin, renews us, and lives in believers so we may become more like Christ.

John 3:5, 16:7-11; Acts 5:3-4; Ephesians 1:13, 4:30, 5:18; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:13.

Human

We believe that humans were created in the image of God. However, the image was broken through Adam’s sin. Because of this sin, we were completely separated from God and every human is morally fallen. It’s not within our ability to fix our roaming souls.

John 3:5, 16:7-11; Acts 5:3-4; Ephesians 1:13, 4:30, 5:18; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:13

Salvation

We believe that salvation is God’s gift. We were saved through the faith of Christ Jesus, and our sins were washed away by Christ Jesus dying on the cross on our behalf. We believe that we were saved and became righteous through God’s grace not through our own action. Once we are saved, the salvation lives in Jesus Christ forever.

John 3:5, 16:7-11; Acts 5:3-4; Ephesians 1:13, 4:30, 5:18; 1 Corinthians 6:19, 12:13

Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and that all saved believers within the Church gather through faith of Jesus Christ. We believe that we are all united in the name of Jesus Christ, and the head of the Church is Jesus Christ. We worship God, serve together, teach and do mission according to what God has empowered us to do.

Acts 2:42, 47; Romans 12:5, Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:23-24; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 11:2

Local church

We believe that the New Testament teaches us to build up local churches and maintain the roles of local churches.

Acts 14:27, 20:17, 28:32; 2 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11

Also, we believe that local churches are free from any outside power and influence.

Acts 13:1-4, 20:28; Romans 16:1, 4; 1 Corinthians 3:9, 16, 5:4-7; 1 Peter 5:1-4

Baptism

We believe it is a rule that all believers are water baptized and participate in communion. However, it is not the path to salvation. Those two ceremonies are merely the evidence to show obedience to God, and that we partner with Christ Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:38, 41, 8:12,35-38; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

Baptism by fire

We believe that believers are formed in the image of Christ Jesus therefore; we are holy because God is holy and we won’t follow our fleshly desires. As new creation of Jesus Christ, we learn to live a spiritual life in faith obeying to God’s word, praying and ministering each other, as well as praising God by serving Him and His people.

Galatians 5:16-26; Hebrews 10:26; Ephesians 4:20-24; Hebrews 11:6, 12:1-2; John 17:17; Ephesians 6:18; Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Corinthians 3:10-15

Kingdom of Christ Jesus

We believe that Christ Jesus will return in Human form before the Kingdom of God reigns. We believe that Jesus Christ will be resurrected to judge the living and the dead.
